THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced finance professional with transformation and change management experience to step into a newly created role. Reporting to the Global Head of Finance.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, passionate finance professional to lead in the delivery of finance asset management services to our clients in multiple international jurisdictions and also be at the forefront of change projects.


Supporting in the change to the finance operating model by mapping “as is” processes across jurisdictions and by client type to unearth the key touchpoints in all the main finance processes, contribute to the standardization and harmonization of those “to be” processes and then implement. A specific need to have NetSuite experience to understand the systems capabilities in order to recommend and enhance the “to be” processes.


The role will include management of two direct reports, the Transformation Specialists, who will support in the transformation project.

Upon delivery of the finance operating model, the candidate will play a support role in the set-up of the Shared Service Centre (SSC).This will involve, but will not be limited to resource analysis, recruitment, and the development and delivery of training to ensure outputs are standardized, are of the right quality and are executed efficiently.


Key responsibilities include:


Process discovery

  • Map processes from each of the main markets and clients WiseEnergy provides asset management services to establish an “As Is” status
  • Agree with the Finance Leadership Team on processes to be standardised
  • Re-define and standardize processes and sub-processes to define a “To be” status
  • Document agreed processes into standard operating procedures using the SOX framework or similar (risk and control)


Transformation and systems

  • Identify and prioritise processes for automation
  • Collaborate with other finance leaders and IT to implement automation solutions for the processes identified
  • Ensure the appropriate integration of processes into WiseEnergy’s software platform, AMP, in order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the SSC
  • Implement processes signed off for SSC
  • Map the SSC team capability (using tools such as the 9-box model), identifying skills gaps and recommending ways of bridging them for the optimal SSC delivery team


Training

  • Develop training packages on implemented processes and systems
  • Upskill within the wider finance team to maintain operating model/process maps
  • Evaluate training effectiveness
  • Early-stage support in the management of SSC training needs and budget


Reporting

  • Prepare for sign off the project timeline
  • Tracking progress against the project timeline and to provide regular status updates to FLT
  • Prepare case study / proposal paper on system exploration to be reviewed by FLT prior to circulation to Senior Leadership Team for sign off
  • Calculating and presenting the return on investment from the “as is” to “to be”


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Have a demonstrable track record in successfully leading in finance transformation projects with testimonials to support.


Other important skills, experience and attributes include:

  • Change management experience
  • Finance transformation experience (including at least one of agile, waterfall, lean six sigma, PRINCE2)
  • NetSuite experience
  • Management of direct reports
  • Ability to manage geographically dispersed staff with confidence, courage and clarity
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
  • Highly proactive way of working, coupled with a tenacity to resolve issues and overcome challenges
  • Good understanding of the roles of various departments within WiseEnergy and ability to skillfully navigate these while building strong working relationships with colleagues
  • Relentless focus on structure, governance, and documentation to ensure the team’s operations are properly managed
  • Ability to express complicated concepts and issues concisely, simply and with impact
  • Fluent, confident English (written and spoken) is essential
