THE COMPANY
NextEnergy Capital (NEC) was founded in 2007 to become the leading investment and operating asset manager in the solar sector. Since our inception, we’ve been active in the development, construction and ownership of solar assets. As at 31 December 2021, we have solar AUM of c.US$3.4bn, across three investment vehicles. We manage one private equity fund NextPower III and a listed investment company - NextEnergy Solar Fund Limited; and we’re preparing several additional products (such as NPUK ESG: Launch of NPUK ESG - NextEnergy Capital).
NextPower III is a private equity fund established in 2018 to invest in the international solar sector, specifically to fund the construction and long-term ownership of solar power plants. Its target markets comprise mainly OECD and OECD Key Partner countries. In January 2022, following final close, it has commitments of c.US$896m (including a $90m SMA), exceeding its target fundraising size of US$750m. As at 31 December 2021, NextPower III had c.335MWp of solar assets in operation and a further c.200MWp under construction/development.
NextEnergy Solar Fund (NESF) is a listed investment company that invests in operating solar power plants mainly in the UK. It currently owns c.890MWp spread among 91 assets in the UK and 8 in Italy (and 1 international private vehicle), comprising a gross asset value of c.£1.1bn. NESF has raised equity proceeds of c.£792m (including £200m preference shares) since its initial public offering on the main market of the London Stock Exchange in April 2014. At present, it is the largest listed solar energy fund on the London Stock Exchange (ticker: NESF.L) and in all of Europe.
In addition, NEC is active in solar operating asset management through WiseEnergy, the leading specialist operating asset manager in the solar sector. Since its founding, WiseEnergy has provided solar asset management, monitoring and technical due diligence services to over 1,300+ utility-scale solar power plants with an installed capacity in excess of 2,200MWp. WiseEnergy’s clients comprise leading debt and equity financiers to the solar sector.

THE ROLE
You will join us as an Investment Analyst, directly reporting to senior members of staff who are involved in both the origination and execution of new and exciting transactions. This role offers the opportunity to experience many facets of our extremely successful business, which is at the forefront of renewable investment.
